Ed Burke, Executive Director of the BRO Society receives the 1/4th Cav "Distinguished Trooper Award" for his continued advice and assistance to the 1/4th Cav while we were forming our association.


Jennifer Sanford, Admin Assistant for the BRO Society, receives the "Friend of the Quarter Horse Certificate" for her continued advice and assistance to the 1/4th Cav while we were forming our association.

Gary Chenett, National Director of the Order of the Silver Rose, receives the "Distinguished Trooper Award" for his continued efforts and assistance to US Armed Forces Veterans to receive recognition for their pain and suffering from exposure to Agent Orange


Mike Novosel, DustOff Pilot and Medal of Honor Receipant, receives his "Honorary Trooper Award" for his part in the extraction of more than 100 1/4th Cavalry Trooper from the Battlefield during the summer of 1966.

(Note)Neither Tom Gipson or Tracey Derks could make it to the reunion so their awards will be sent to them.

Another Award of the "Honorary Trooper" is to be awarded to Tom "Hoot" Gipson, also a DustOff Pilot during the same period as Mike Novolsel and who lifted many of our troopers out of harms way during the battles of 1966.

Another "Friend of the Cavalry" Certificate was awarded to Tracey Derks, who is a writer/researcher and who has written about the battle of "Ap Bau Bang" for the magazine "Vietnam".
