C TROOP PHOTOS

The following are some Troop C Photos from late 65 to early 66 sent in by Ron Johnson

The infamous C Troop Monkey. Whatever happened to him?..............................Making Charly uncomfortable

(NOTE:)John H. Ridge - Charlie 6, Dec64-Feb66 responds to the Monkey Photo

In Dec 66 an Air Force friend brought his pet monkey on a visit to 1SG Brigance. They came into my hooch and the monkey "Venus" jumped on my back and stayed there all evening, so the owner insisted I keep him. In late January I was wounded and medevacked to 3rd MASH. A visitor told me that a couple of weeks later during a halt in the operation Venus's leash was secured to a tree, but when the troop pulled back for an air strike, someone forgot to get Venus. I'm sure she died bravely.

Where did such a high bumper number come from?..............................Well, at least we didn't come away empthy handed

Nah..It don't taste any worse than salt peter..............................I found it...It's mine...all mine!....

Oh sure...everybody and his brother arrives...after the battle is over!..........Damn!!....That was close!! (does the background sky in this photo bother anyone beside me? bb)

They let the Cav come to the USO Show....To guard the perimeter..........Can any of you 65-66 C Troopers remember what action most these photos come from?

Lighting Charley's cook stove....................Com on guys, he said if we didn't get it fixed, we would have to walk home
